In an effort to support our MVSD families, we would like to offer parent/guardian tech training, which would focus on an overview of Microsoft Teams, accessing student marks and attendance in PowerSchool, available tech supports for MVSD families and tech Q & A. If you are interested in attending a session such as this, please click on the link by Sep. 18th to complete a short form which will enable us to plan for the logistics of the session!

To support schools in their re-opening plans, during the week of September 8 – 11, students will commence the school year on a staggered start (except for the DRCSS and Goose Lake High School, which are commencing with a blended approach). Click on the above link for details.

MVSD is pleased to offer a device loan out program for students who require remote learning. Please click on the link for more information on eligibility and how to access the program!

Based on advice from Public Health, play structures on MVSD playgrounds are open! Please note that structures are not regularly cleaned or sanitized. Apply hand sanitizer before and after use of the structure and maintain social distancing of 2 metres between users.

The Northwest Metis Council, in partnership with Mountain View School Division, is offering an Accessible Technology Program for families. Low income families can now apply to have a refurbished desktop or laptop with the Microsoft Office package for their children to use at home permanently with their studies. On July 30, the Government of Manitoba released the document Welcoming Our Students Back: Restoring Safe Schools: K-12 Guidelines for September 2020. MVSD is currently reviewing the document, and in the coming days we will release a local plan for our school division based on the directions provided.
